Apart from Mr Menzies and Master Menzies, I have listed a few of my favourite things here. Some are my favourite because of their practicality and some are my favourite just because they look good.

Love to Swaddle Up – Buy here

I absolutely love this product. I had issues swaddling Master Menzies correctly in the beginning and when he slept without being swaddled his arms were always up. A good friend of mine had recommended the Swaddle Up and bought me one for my baby shower. It has saved our lives, Mackie is such a good sleeper and I credit this largely to this product.

It has 3 stages. Stage 1 is the swaddle up for the newies that need to be swaddled with arms in. Stage 3 is the 50/50 tranistion swaddle where you can allow one arm at a time to be free so they get used to their arms being out gradually and Stage 3 is the Inventa Sleeping Bag. The Sleeping bag allows you to zip or unzip a vent to control baby’s temperature.

Another product from the Love to Dream company is the Love to Layer Up Merino. A sleeping bag deigned to go over the Swaddle Up and 50/50 as an extra layer to keep baby warm.

Modern Cloth Nappies (Itty Bitty Bums)- Buy here

I use modern cloth nappies from Itty Bitty Bums during the day. It save me a fortune in nappies. Modern cloth nappies differ from the old cloth nappies in that you don’t need to soak or fold them. After a nappy change I rinse the dirty nappy into a toilet with a hose my husband bought from the hardware shop. Then the nappy goes into a dry nappy bucket. At the end of the day I do a load of nappies in the washing machine and hang it out to dry the next day.

I bought 24 small sized nappies to begin with before buying the one size fits all.

Boon products

I love, love, love Boon products. They are so well thought out and easy to use. My favourite thing is the silicone feeder. I can put some fruit that squishes really well like banana and Master Menzies can have a chomp away at it. I find them to be easier to clean than netted bag varieties that you can get.
